316L is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel containing
molybdenum. This addition increases the resistance against corrosion and pitting.

316L Steel is a low carbon version of 316 stainless steel, making it easier to weld. 316L has improved corrosion resistance compared to 304 stainless.

TZYSCO stocks the largest single-site stainless steel plate inventory in North America with thicknesses from 3/16" through 6-1/2" in 1/8" increments.

Type 321 has maximum use temperatures of 1500°F (816°C) for code applications like Type 304, whereas T304L is limited to 800°F (426°C).

Strength of these stabilized alloy 321 is distinctly higher than that of non-stabilized 304 alloys at temperatures of 1000°F (538°C) and above.

SS Angle Bar 316 is non-magnetic but can become slightly magnetic if extensively cold worked, further annealing would be necessary to correct this.

Higher mechanical strengths are attainable via cold or warm working, but the grade 310 is generally not available in such conditions.
